
HOUSE RESOLUTION 11

Naming the new pony truss bridge on West Virginia Route 15 in
Diana the "Gerald 'Jerry' Hall Bridge."
Whereas, Mr. Hall is a registered professional engineer who
began his career with the Division of Highways in one thousand nine
hundred fifty-seven and has been employed with the division for
some thirty-seven years with half that time being in the Weston
District which includes Webster County; and
Whereas, Mr. Hall has been the associate pastor for the Holly
River Baptist Church for approximately ten years; and
Whereas, Gerald "Jerry" Hall was born in Webster Springs in one
thousand nine hundred thirty-seven and has distinguished himself as
a caring, honest, hardworking, spiritual and contributing member of
his community and of this state; therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Delegates:
That the new pony truss bridge on Route 15 in Diana, West
Virginia be named the "Gerald 'Jerry' Hall Bridge" in honor of this
fine, upstanding citizen; and
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to Gerald "Jerry" Hall, to the secretary of the department of transportation, and to the commissioner of
highways.
